When Worlds Collide at Work

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Worlds Colliding.”

I work on a team of three teachers that are one grade level out of 6 plus special education. I’ve learned that people in this large team often do not see eye to eye.

There’s a family man, a dad of 7 who really needs to keep work drama at an arms length. There’s a single lady over 50 who’s never really had to get along with workmates. Profile after profile, you find a rainbow of personalities. Sometimes worlds collide. I try to keep to myself until this happens, then we all have to learn to get along. We can’t just stay huddled in our classrooms. Unfortunately.
