Streamlining Blog Prompts with “Press This”

One great hidden feature of WordPress is the “Press This” bookmarklet. I use it to reblog and post snippets of other people’s sites. This tool is especially helpful when doing the Daily Post prompts each morning. Once I am on the page with the prompt, I need only click the “Press This” bookmarklet and I have a very nice blockquote styled snippet of the prompt along with a link back to the prompt page. Once I write and publish my post around that, my linkback shows up on the Daily Post prompt page. Read more about the “Press This” bookmarklet below, I used the function itself to make the blockquote snippet. I find it fascinating and use it quite a bit in my blogging.

The “Press This” function allows quick publishing with a special web browser bookmarklet. You can create a post by quoting some text, images, and videos on any web page.

Have you tried this function? If so, how do you use it? If not, do you think you’ll try it?
