I’ll Take These Two

This was a tough writing prompt. I haven’t see much of the world traveling so I’m not equipped to make a well-informed decision. I chose two places I know and love dearly. One is close to me now and the other I have traveled to on a plane-traveled vacation.

If you could split your time evenly between two places, and two places only, which would these be?

Laguna Beach CaliforniaThe first place I’d pick would be the coastline of California, specifically, Laguna Beach. It’s a beach artist community that’s right on the water of Main Beach, I could see myself enjoying life here even as I do now so central to it in the High Desert. I grew up in Mission Viejo, a city very close to Laguna and really got used to the salty air and incredibly inspiring views. Disneyland, and many other resorts and attractions are just a stone’s throw away. Memphis Tennessee Blues Trail

The second place I’d like to go back and forth to is Memphis, Tennessee. The Barbecue alone is worth living there but there is a deep rooted culture in music and blues music specifically. The arts are all around one there and that kind of influence is so needed in my life. I get caught up in the letters too much and need more musical notes. The people greet you with, “How are y’all doing?” and they seem genuinely interested. Between the beach and Memphis I’d be walking tall and happy :)
