  1. I hear it has been quite cold in southern California. I do remember how cold it can get! I check temps there often as my family still lives there…in Riverside county, mostly. It has actually been colder there (by one or two degrees) several times…I live in Portland, Oregon. So that’s saying something…cold…brrrr!

  2. The rainy season has certainly started here: perfect for blogging and reading in front of the fire. I like your word: ‘Peace’. Mine for 2016 is ‘Gratitude’

  3. I love the handwritten coffee post. And I love your word for the year. I hope you have a great 2016 and that we all see more of your word, peace!

  4. I love the handwritten coffee post. That’s fun. :)

Hoping for peace, myself. This past year has been a tumultuous one for us at home, with my husband and I both changing jobs and my grandmother passing away mid-year, so we’re hoping for a more peaceful year ourselves. And of course, on a larger scale, there’s so much unrest, such chaos on a large scale. Definitely hoping to see a more peaceful resolution to our current events.

    1. Thank you. Mine has a few applications. Probably the biggest is the way I take on too much and become a perfectionist thus sapping my peace account. I’m hoping in 2016 to be a calmer more peaceful person by remembering that boundary. It’s a work in progress. Best to you.

  5. Glad you had a relaxing holiday and are enthusiastic to get back into the groove. I like your handwritten diary entry very much. I feel like I got more out of it than if it were paragraphs of typed text. It showed a glimpse of the inner you, if that makes any sense at all! That’s one idea I’ll be copying this year, so thank you.

    1. Thank you very much. Handwritten journals are great! I’m getting more dedicated to them. I really appreciate your compliment! The “If We Were Having Coffee” prompt is a great thing as well!
