Despicable Me 2 at the Irvine Spectrum in the OC

We traveled to the world class Irvine Spectrum in the OC yesterday. Went to Capistrano Beach for evening and played in the waves then spent the night in Irvine.

Saw “Despicable Me” this morning. Good as expected, not great. The story is all over the place, introduces a love interest for GRU: Lucy, a new super-villain: El Macho, and much more … too much in my opinion. The words, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” apply here.

It goes too fast and lacks the simplicity of it’s predecessor. Still, the minions are hilarious and Gru’s 3 girls are cute as ever. Watch for more detail on why I didn’t LOVE it here at my blog in the next day or so.
